Logitech Touch Mouse M600 Launched

Logitech has come up with its latest wireless mouse – it’s all new Touch Mouse M600, a little charming device which is bound to catch your attention. This pretty looking sleek & smart touch mouse will be shipped by the later part of the month at a suggested retail price of $70.

It is believed that the price will go down when it will hit the retail channel; however it appears to be placed in the same price range as of Apple’s Magic Mouse & Microsoft’s Touch Mouse.

Even when the actual cost has not been discovered and only suggestions are being made, what has been clearly announced by Logitech is some of the highlights of M600 that includes full surface touch sensitivity which the company proudly compares with that of smart phones. This very concept which the mouse uses isn’t a very new concept but surely in the case of mouse; Logitech is using it for the first time for its M600.

Just as in the case of Apple or Microsoft mouse, so is in the case of M600, you still get to click on it as you normally do through the help of physical button mechanism. And just like other two mice just mentioned, you get multi-gesture navigation on M600 which even includes the swipes for Web page navigation.

If you keep the design, style and touch input of this brand new mouse, you’ll find M600 to be a kind of straightforward device entering the Logitech’s line of mice. A laser sensor is being used by the mouse and it also happens to be one of the members of Unified Peripheral family of Logitech, which enables you to connect your sleek and smart M600 with about five other Unified branded devices right to a PC through a single USB micro-receiver.

What adds to the amazement is that it can also be run on one or two AA batteries. Though it is obvious that your mouse will go lighter if you remove one battery, this will cut down the operation time from six months to exactly its half, i.e. three months.

If you are eager to try out this brand new touch mouse, your wait will end up by the end of this month.

You can count the days left before CES finally starts; electronic makers are busy with all their efforts to get the attention of the gadget enthusiasts with their unique products. Logitech is doing nothing different; it has announced a new portable mouse just yesterday. The interesting thing about the mouse is its capability to work as a presentation device. You can easily fit this rectangular mouse in your pocket. It offers most of the mouse like functionality even though not all of them. It has a sensor on its bottom which moves the cursor and offers a multi-touch suftace on the top panel which registers the input.

Sad to say, the company hasn’t made the function of the touch panel clear. Like other mice, it offers a left and right click, however Logitech hasn’t mentioned this on the product page of the Cube. The product page does mention about its ability to scroll by simply swiping fingers around the main panel of the Cube. This is described as the special fluidic feature from Logitech’s “Flow Scroll” software which is also used by the Web browsers like IE 8 & 9; Firefox 6; Chrome: and others for smoother scrolling.

The Cube turns into an excellent presentation tool and help you in navigating slides the moment you lift it off the table.  You simply need a Logitech Unifying receiver to connect the device to your PC. Interestingly, it also offers a wireless connection that can be trusted for the connecting up to 25 meters.  You get a Li-ion battery that can be recharged through USB. One can preorder the device at $69.99.

Logitech Launched Its Wireless Mouse M525

Logitech recently announced that now its wireless mouse M525 will be available in the UK.

This smart and neat pointing device is specifically designed to make your web browsing an easier and comfort giving experience offering you with a “micro-precise” scroll wheel that makes web page scrolling a perfectly smooth thing to do.

It features a special built-in tilt wheel that enables you to navigate backward and forward on the web in a smooth and easy swiping like experience.

Logitech Wireless Mouse M525 offers a special faster scrolling feature, tilt wheel navigation and laser grade precision, all that make the web surfing absolutely easy, remarked Marcus Harvey, the Logitech UK Country Manager.

Most significant thing about the device is that it bundles up precision, performance, and comfort together making your interaction with the digital world more liberated, which appears a must in today’s era when most of your time is spent in handling the digital sphere.

M525 comes with a sculpted body along with soft rubber grips that gives all possible comfort to your palm. Again, it is compact enough to be carried along with your portable when you’re planning to go out.

Battery is also as smart as the device as Logitech claims that its battery life is of three years and offers a “smart sleep mode”.  You also get to connect six unifying compatible devices to the one USB port with the help of a unifying receiver.

On taking a closer look at its specifications, you’ll find that it uses the advanced optical technology offered by Logitech which gives it a laser grade precision when you are using it on the “most challenging surfaces” as well as makes it appropriate to be used with your laptop, when you carry it outdoors.

Logitech Wireless Mouse M525 will be available for purchase from this month itself at a price of 35 pounds.

Logitech already has its name in the field of PC speakers and now it has dashed into the tablet space with its brand new Logitech Tablet Speaker.

If you’re thinking it to be a Bluetooth speaker, you need to know that it isn’t that, instead it is the one which can be docked up on to the tablet and comes along with a jack that gets plugged into the port meant for the headphone.

Though it isn’t a wireless accessory, there isn’t any need of a power adapter as it has build-in rechargeable battery that helps the speaker work well for as long as 8 hours and can then be charged with the help of USB.

In the recent preview event of Logitech, it was found that its sound is far better than the internal speakers of iPad. Of course, one can’t expect disc like music effect as it doesn’t offer lot of bass thing.

Logitech Tablet Speaker has been priced at $50 and it works well with almost any tablet. It is actually designed to be used with the larger tablet models and when you use it with a larger slate, it fits perfectly well and works like a stand for the tablet tilting it at around 20 degree angle.

Logitech has ultimately come out with the scion of MX518, a much trusted mouse from the company that crowned as the best gaming mouse available at $40. One gets everything that a proficient gamer would aspire to have on their pointing device to have their job properly done which includes an extremely comfortable profile, on-the-fly DPI adjustments, buttons that can be programmed, and a wonderful holographic skin to boot.

G400, which has just been announced, has all the general features along with some new surprises. It comes along with advance optical sensor which is elevated from 1800DPI to 3600DPI, which definitely promises to be much more accessible for playing the super fast twitch oriented games. And with this, the on-the-fly adjustability of the DPI becomes quite obvious and thus one gets to configure the possible four distinctive increments as per their choice.

Logitech claims that with the usage of the latest version of the sensor of MX518, one can expect the better tracking consistency even with less than 0.5% cursor to hand movement variation at about 140 IPS. The report rate of the pointer device has also been enhanced from 125 to 1000 reports per second. While describing the USB as such, one would find that the cable of G400 is quite thin and handy and about 25% lighter for undergoing less restrictive movement.

The button programming software which is being used by the G–Series keyboards and G13 Advanced Game-board of Logitech are found integrated with G400 because of which it easily accesses the drag and drop interface, automated game detection, scripting and macro capabilities of the Logitech Gaming software together with the potentiality to share the macros with G-Series keyboards. One needs to note that profiles for 210 games are being included in v8.0 version of Logitech Gaming Software.

Logitech developed G400 with one simple aim, i.e. to make it based on every great thing that MX518 has to offer. “We were very careful not to mess with the shape, tracking consistency, button layout, or legendary durability that millions of customers have grown to love and rely upon over the years — we even kept the suggested retail price the same. All we wanted to do was make a legendary FPS gaming mouse work even better.” Chris Pate, the Global Product Marketing Manager of Logitech wrote on the official blog of the company.

From June 19, G400 will be available in the US market for $49.99 and by the middle of July, it will be available in other markets also. Gamers desperate to own the mouse will have to wait just a little to finally have it on their desk!

Logitech recently released the rebranded Zaggmate Keyboard Case for iPad (for $99.99 direct, 3.5 stars). Now the peripheral manufacturer has finally got ready to try out its hands in the tablet market. So now it has decided to bring out a line of devices for iOS and Android.

The Tablet Keyboard meant for Android and iPad will be available with a carrying case. The plus point of the hard shell case of the keyboard is that it does dual work of being a case as well as a stand for the Android or the iPad tablet. This stand can be displayed both vertically and horizontally depending on what you need.  It comes along with pre-installed 4AAA batteries; however, the company hasn’t disclosed the battery life.

The Tablet Keyboard meant for Android offers compatibility with Android OS 3.0 and above and also with the devices with Bluetooth (HID profile). The device meant for the iPad supports both iPad 1 and 2 and has the capability to use the Bluetooth in order to connect to the iOS devices, this makes it possible to get the keyboard connected to iPhone as well as iPod Touch.

But since, most Android based smartphones don’t come with the support for the required HID Bluetooth profile, this will create a likelihood of the compatible Android devices to be restricted to work as tablets.

Other than the conventional QWERTY layout that is found on every keyboard, Logitech has made an addition of play/pause and volume control that will help you control your media.

Logitech also has the inclusion of a Bluetooth wireless mouse in its list of new additions. But since, these tablets are touch enabled and are not designed for the mouse usage so it appears that mouse hardly has anything to offer in this area.

It is very likely that the Logitech Tablet Keyboard both for iPad and Android (for 69.99 direct) as well as the Tablet Mouse (for 49.99 direct) will be available by the May end but one can hit the Logitech’s official website for pre-ordering them.
